Entropic Universe

Dear Creator Family,

Amidst the blessings and the joyful companionship of our Lord, we are tasked with working through the constant and occasional difficulties of life. These are not “injustices” from the purely human perspective; they are just the expected meanderings of an entropic universe (stuff breaking down).  So, I wanted to drop you all a quick note regarding several of the “fix-it” issues at the Church.
  1. The septic system repair is moving forward (finally) as the Soil Scientists have completed their site work and are designing the proposed replacement system. This system design will then go out to bid and we will then have a working comparison of the two proposed systems (leech field vs. county sewer hook-up). We are hoping to receive those bids in three weeks.
  2. The Parish Hall office A/C’s have been ordered and should arrive in one to two weeks. I have contacted Don Lafoon about installing them and hope we can close the book on this within the month.
  3. The Parish Hall bathrooms are all but completed. We are waiting on one commode and two urinals. The urinals have proven to be a difficult purchase due to a lack of objectivity in the industry and a shortage in the product. I am hopeful we will complete this project soon.
  4. The A/C for the bathroom has been on backorder and I am now shifting to a new company for a replacement.
Ongoing considerations for our property and our worship life will be picked up by the Vision Ministry team who are meeting this Saturday for a retreat. Please pray for them as they seek God’s direction.

The road construction on Rt. 360 continues with the gas lines being moved this week. This piecemeal approach will be with us for a while as they make final preparations for major construction. I will keep you appraised of road closures when I can, but it is an on-again-off-again occurrence.

It all seems like so much, and it is. But it is also the expected and normal process of living in this world. Thanks be to God that we have our Lord to bring joy and humor to the trials of life through which we can see beyond the discord to the love.

Peace in Christ,
Fr. Bill+
